What is an MES?
An MES (manufacturing execution system) is software that tracks production from the moment an order becomes work on the shop floor until it is finished: which job is on which machine, who is working on it, how long it took and how much was scrapped. An ERP holds what to make and what it costs; an MES shows how production is actually going.
Who is ModernMES for?
It is built for job shops that work to order or by project — CNC machining, mould and die making, machine building and assembly — and for small to mid-sized factories with anywhere from 5 to a few hundred machines. It is written to replace the paper travellers, spreadsheets and whiteboards such shops usually run on.
How much does ModernMES cost?
ModernMES is sold as a subscription: Starter is 999 TRY a month (up to 5 machines, 3 users); Professional is 2,499 TRY a month (up to 25 machines, 15 users); Enterprise is 4,999 TRY a month (unlimited machines, unlimited users). Prices exclude VAT, and paying yearly saves 20%. The pricing section on this page always shows the current prices.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial and signing up needs no credit card. You can use every feature with your own data during the trial.
Which ERP and accounting systems does it integrate with?
The ERP integration add-on works with Logo, Mikro, Netsis, DIA, Paraşüt, SAP Business One, SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Odoo, and there is a generic JSON/REST connection for other systems. Production and scrap records go to the ERP; stock and customer records come from it. It is included in Enterprise and can be added to the other plans.
Can we run it on our own servers?
Yes. ModernMES runs in the cloud or in your own data center (on-premise). Installation is a single command, the license is bound to your server's hardware, and offline licensing is available for air-gapped networks.
How do operators use it?
From the operator terminal left open on a tablet or PC next to the machine. Operators sign in with their badge number, see the jobs queued for that machine and start, pause or finish them. There is nothing to install; the terminal runs in the browser.
Can we import our existing parts and routings?
Yes. Upload parts and operation routings in bulk with the Excel template. Before anything is imported, the system checks the file and shows what will be added and which rows have problems.
Is my data secure?
Each company's data is kept apart from every other company's at the database level, and every connection is encrypted with HTTPS. For companies that do not want their data to leave the site, ModernMES can be installed on their own servers.
Can I change my plan later?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. The change takes effect from the next billing period.
